Forethought Foundation for Global Priorities Research has the goal of promoting academic work to address actions that influence the long-run future. It is a project of the
Centre For Effective Altruism and works closely with the
Global Priorities Institute at Oxford University.
If you are a Master or PhD student researching global priorities (ex: global catastrophe, very long-term growth, human extinction, decision theory,...), you can apply to their
Global Priorities Fellowship to receive a grant of £5,000. There have also major research grants for bigger projects and prizes for Undergraduate thesis.

IWMF is an NGO that promotes training, safety, and opportunities to female journalists, intending to transform the global news media. Open Road Alliance gives grants to social enterprises and nonprofits across different countries and sectors. The grants, averaging between $80,000 and $120,000, aim to address unexpected roadblocks or opportunities. To apply, your project must be mid-implementation (meaning that if it were not for the roadblock or opportunity, there would be no need for the grant) and carry a great potential for multiplying outcomes.
